I tried to help my senior rescued Belgian draft with watery diarrhea that was black in color. It helped within a matter of days and it completely cleared up. I also have a Percheron who I suspect has ulcers and his demeanor has improved significantly to much calmer. My Belgian can be a picky eater but she gobbles this stuff up when mixed in with soaked alfalfa cubes. I’ll be buying more!!
My 30+ year old gelding suffered from watery dirrhea for months. I spent a fortune on vet bills and medications, none of which worked. I started feeding VitaRoyal with Nutrient Buffer. He got better, but still had a problem. I added Nutrient Buffer HG and he responded within a few days. I still feed VitaRoyal and add Nutrient Buffer.
If your horse is stalled and in a fairly active training program, I would definitely recommend this product. My mare was very moody when the chiropractor came to work on her and the chiro thought maybe she had ulcers. I immediately put her on this product (3 scoops in the morning, 3 at night for 4 weeks then I decreased to 2 scoops in the AM and PM) with the liquid nutrient buffer 2x a day and I saw an immediate change in her disposition and demeanor. The first picture she has a dull look in her eye and the second picture was taken 24 hours later after I started the feeding regimen listed above. So many people just automatically go to an omeprazole product. Long term use of omeprazole in humans leads to decreased bone density so I can only imagine what it does to a horse with long term use.
It is helping my horse’s hind gut issues. Saw a difference in a matter of 4-5 days. It is a little chalky and I was afraid he might turn up his nose at it but he eats it well along with some mushed up timothy pellets.
